My Story
When I was a little girl, I was very shy. I would hide behind my mother’s skirt and cower if anyone attempted to engage in a conversation with me. From that quiet and secure place of protection my eyes were my windows where I observed the world. I will forever be grateful for the love and guidance from my family, friends and teachers who helped guide me with unwavering support, who helped draw me out of my shell.
As I grew and entered different stages of growth, life presented many challenges. I became more in tune to finding tools for clarity and understanding to maneuver my world. I carried a strong desire for a better way, and my passion and purpose became a way to somehow leave the world a better place. I cherish the notion that things can improve and that our own good life contributes to the good lives of those who come after us.
I entered the world of Special Education in 1978 and worked with a vast range of special needs children in the New York City school system. I moved to California in 1980 and started a new venture of owner and operator of a successful custom picture framing business. I found myself in a counseling role with many of my clients as they reflected many emotional experiences to the art they were framing. In 2013 I completed my master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and have since counseled hundreds of students and veterans with career choices and educational planning as they maneuver their way through work, families, children, and relationships in order to fulfill their dreams.
The path is not always clear. How easy it is to move through our days as if we were in some sort of dress rehearsal for real life, despite the nagging suspicion that this is IT, that real life is right here, right now. How do we make it count? How do we find our way? Uncertainty is part of the human condition. In response for this yearning for clarity and direction, I created a vast multitude of paths and call them by many names. Teacher, entrepreneur, counselor, academic advisor, wife, mother, grandmother, friend and life coach.
I discovered and embraced mindful life coaching in 2019. Mindful life coaching is one of many highway’s that offers exploration on a road to a better understanding. This is a unique method to gain meaningful transformation for life changes. It is a path that complements the goals of your life choices as they relate to the essence of yourself.
Through coaching techniques, guidance, support and encouragement I assist in creating awareness in order to create meaningful change. Allow the momentum of life coaching to build on the experiences of your life, your work, your relationships and your experience of being alive.

“I was ambivalent about coaching when I first called Dee because I thought I couldn’t fix my problems. She helped me understand what I needed to do and encouraged and supported me through the process. Dee’s belief in positive outcomes helped me realize that I could have my own positive outcome. I achieved all my goals and am much happier for it. Thanks, Dee!”
